What You Won't Find Elsewhere

From peer review to typesetting, from DOI registration to author charges. All of it works and can be explored in the demo.

Build the issue PDF without going back to Word

Cover, masthead, running header, page numbers: the system sets all of it. You pick one of eleven layout templates, edit the article text in the panel, and the full issue PDF comes out. A single article's proof is produced from the same place.

Proofs wait for the author, with a deadline

The proof goes to the author with a reply date; reminders go out automatically one day before and on the day. Until the author approves or the deadline passes, the proof cannot be changed and the article cannot move to "Ready for Print". Authors only ever see the latest proof sent to them.

Title and abstract update with the revision, every change on record

Authors update the article details together with the revised file; editors can correct them until publication. Every change is a version: the editor sees exactly what changed, reviewers see only the content changes, so blind review stays blind. If the details change after typesetting, the system flags the proof as out of date.

No one-click button that skips the process

Manual status changes exist for exceptional cases, but they require a reason, list every step being skipped and send a one-time code to the editor's own email. The other editors are notified of the change.

Abstract and keyword limits are enforced at submission

A live word counter runs as the author types; your journal sets the limits. A submission outside them cannot be sent. This is checked on the server, not just in the browser. If the form comes back for a missing item, nothing typed is lost and the author lands on the step that needs fixing.

Authors hear when their article is published

From the masthead form, early view or publishing a whole issue: whichever route publishes the article, the author gets an email; also when it is scheduled into an issue. In a forty-article issue the emails go out in turn, and failed ones are retried.

No author is told "under review" until a reviewer accepts

Sending the invitation notifies nobody. The author hears about it when the reviewer accepts. Before accepting, the reviewer sees only the title, abstract, keywords and field of study: enough to decide, not enough to identify the author.

If a reviewer wants to step down, the process stays with you

A reviewer cannot simply walk away; they write a reason and file a request. Before you approve it you can call and ask them to reconsider, or assign someone else. None of this reaches the author; the manuscript stays "under review".

A list of exactly what is missing, article by article

The system scans every article and tells you plainly: "No English abstract here." "Conflict of interest statement missing." You fix it from the same screen.

Author traces are stripped before the file reaches a reviewer

Names, e-mail addresses, affiliations and acknowledgements in the Word file are found and removed once you approve. The reviewer gets a clean copy. No manual deleting.

Fill one field across eighty articles on one screen

Pick whatever is missing (say the English abstract) and every article lines up underneath. You tab down the column instead of opening eighty article screens.

Give reviewers a certificate that can be verified

A reviewer who finishes a report downloads the document from their own panel. Anyone who scans the QR code can see it is genuine, so it holds up at their institution.

Correct a published article without deleting it

If a problem surfaces later, a correction or retraction notice is attached to the article with its reason. The article stays where it is, because someone may have cited it.

See which reviewer has time and who fits the topic

When choosing a reviewer you see the subject match, how many assignments they already have open, and how many days they usually take. The load stops landing on the same three people.

An author can never be assigned to review their own paper

The same person, e-mail or ORCID is blocked outright. A shared institution raises a warning; you decide, and the decision is recorded.

Do not write the decision letter from scratch

A draft is produced from the referee reports. Only the points the reviewers actually raised, with no reviewer named. The final wording is still yours.

Correspondence does not vanish into an inbox

Authors, reviewers and editors write inside the system; each message stays attached to its manuscript and can carry a file. When the editor changes, the history is in front of the new one.

See which e-mail went to whom

Every notification is logged. "Did the review invitation go out?" is answered in the panel. You edit the wording of the messages yourself, too.

Reach reviewers who never open e-mail

Assignments, reminders and decisions can also go by SMS. Nothing is sent without consent, and the e-mail still goes out. SMS does not replace it.

If something breaks, the system tells you

Is the folder holding referee reports really closed to the public, are the scheduled jobs running? Both are tested regularly and reported in the panel. Nothing fails quietly.

Back issues are migrated one issue at a time

From a spreadsheet or from your existing site. If it stops halfway it picks up where it left off without duplicating anything, and a bad batch is undone with one click.

No percentages from thin data

Acceptance rate, days to decision, reviewer performance. But it will not print "25% accepted" off four articles; it says "not enough data" instead. You do not mislead yourself.

If you charge fees, the tracking is built in

Who paid what, whether the receipt was approved, who was waived. An article with an outstanding balance cannot be published. Free journals never see this section.

You can close the full text if you want to

An embargo period, subscriptions or single-article sales. Title, abstract and DOI always stay open: the part indexes read is never closed.

What readers look for and do not find

Searches on the site are recorded: what was searched, not who searched it. You see the queries that returned nothing: that is precisely the subject your journal is missing. No personal data is kept, so no privacy obligation arises.

Nobody has to do anything to upgrade

Database changes apply themselves when a new version arrives. No files to upload, no commands to run, no step to forget.

Typesetting

The Issue PDF Is Built in the System, Not in Word

Cover, masthead, running header, page numbers, author footnotes, citation line: all of that is the template's job. Yours is to place the text.

Article file

The proofreading copy is one button away

Once a manuscript is accepted you edit its text in the panel, pick a template and produce the PDF. The generated file is attached to the manuscript; you do not have to upload anything separately to send it to the author for proofreading.

The masthead is not retyped
Title, abstract, keywords, DOI, ethics and conflict statements come from the manuscript's own record. You never keep the same fact in two places, so neither one goes stale.
Pasting from Word
You paste the text the author sent; the formatting debris that comes with it is cleaned both in the editor and on the server.
A consistent citation line
The citation in the PDF uses the same string shown on the public site, which the system already produces it.
Issue file

The full issue, in the layout you choose

The manuscripts in an issue are laid out in order, produced as a single PDF and attached to the issue. The template is chosen at issue level: articles in the same volume never come out with pages that do not match each other.

Eleven layout templates, 21 typefaces
Classic single column, two column, TR Dizin bilingual, structured abstract, IEEE, open access and others. You try a template on the article itself before choosing it; the trial saves nothing. The body typeface comes from 21 families, including openly licensed, metric-identical equivalents of Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, Cambria and Georgia.
Proofs are not written to disk
However many times you try, no draft files pile up in the archive. Nothing becomes permanent until you say "save".
It refuses to build when something is missing
If any manuscript has no body text, production stops and tells you which one. A PDF without a body builds without error, and only the reader notices what is missing.
Let us be plain about the limit: this is not a desktop publishing program. If you want a bespoke design that steps outside the templates (your own cover layout, an unusual column structure), you can still prepare it elsewhere and upload it as a PDF. That route stays open; the typesetting module is not here to replace it, but to remove the mechanical work that repeats in every issue.
Charge model

Publish Free of Charge, or Not

If your journal charges, you decide at which stage, from whom and how much. If it does not, none of these sections ever appear on screen.

Charges to authors

Three independent switches
  • Submission fee: as the manuscript enters the system
  • Review fee: as it enters peer review
  • Publication fee (APC): raised on the acceptance decision
  • A separate rate per article type: a review article need not cost the same as original research
  • Four currencies: ₺, $, €, £
  • Payment methods: bank transfer, cash, other. The author uploads the receipt, the editor approves it

If your rates change later, earlier manuscripts are unaffected: a charge is frozen at the amount that applied the day it was raised.

Charges to readers

Entirely off unless you want it
  • Open access: everything open to everyone, the default
  • Embargo: opens automatically after the period you set
  • Closed: requires a subscription, an institutional licence or single-article access
  • Per-issue exception: you can open one issue while the journal is otherwise closed
  • Annual subscription, single article, institutional licence: three request types, approved by an editor
  • Institutional licence by IP range: a reader on the university network gets through without signing in

Whatever you close, the metadata, abstract, keywords and DOI stay open; the part indexes and search engines read is never gated.

Documented waiversA waiver cannot be granted without a reason: indexes expect a statement, and the system records it.
Percentage discountsStudents, invited papers, joint work… The rate is written into the charge.
Full and partial refundsAmount and reason are recorded, calculated against what remains rather than the gross.
Printable receiptFor authors who ask for a document. It carries a clear note that it is not a fiscal document.
CSV ledgerMonthly collections exported line by line, opening straight into a spreadsheet.
Publication gateAn article with an outstanding balance cannot be published. A process gate is optional too: no review until payment.
Automatic remindersOn day 7 and day 21 to the author, with the editor informed on day 21. After that the system goes quiet.
Free journalsEverything starts off. The charge sections do not even appear in the menu, and authors never meet a payment screen.
How is payment collected? Today by bank transfer: the author pays, uploads the receipt, an editor approves it and the charge is closed. Card payment settings exist in the system, but the card flow stays off until the journal connects its own merchant account. We do not present something as ready when it is not. Money never passes through us at any point; it goes directly to the journal's account.
